For the Love of Travel, LLC (“FTLO Travel”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting and maintaining the Personal Information you chose to share with us. We want you to understand and feel comfortable with our Privacy Policy, and how it is used to protect our customers. Please take a moment to review this Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your information, in conjunction with your access to and use of the FTLO Travel website and associated services.

We have this policy in place to safeguard and protect your information by adhering and acting in accordance with all applicable legislation, specific to the countries and regions in which FTLO Travel operates. By using our website or the services offered by us, you are providing us the right to access, collect, and use the Personal Information as you provide it to us, and as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent to our use of your information, we kindly ask that you do not visit our website or purchase our services.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT & WHY

The following list includes, but is not limited to, the types of Personal Information FTLO Travel collects, holds, uses and discloses, only as necessary, from customers in the course of offering services or providing services: full name, birthday, address, phone number, e-mail address, passport, medical information, insurance information, nationality, residency, nutrition preferences, trip evaluations, accommodation preferences, feedback you provide, credit card and/or other payment information, and FTLO purchases. The collection of this information is collected in order to provide you with requested services and improve how our business operates.

We may also collect Personal Information, including contact information, if you elect to enter a contest or sweepstakes with us or create a profile on our website, which we will use only to provide you with the service you have requested (or other substantially similar services directly related to your request).

FTLO Travel collects Personal Information from those individuals willingly applying for employment or internships at FTLO Travel in order to (i) identify the individual and (ii) evaluate their suitability for the position applied for. This information may include full name, contact information, home address, educational and employment background, criminal record, residency and/or citizenship information, and other information necessary for us to screen potential employees and staff.

FTLO Travel also collects Personal Information from our third-party suppliers and service providers in order to (i) identify the company and (ii) evaluate their ability to provide the necessary services and standards to our company. This information may include name, contact information, company legal information, company safety record, company insurance policy, and other information necessary for us to screen potential vendors and tour operators.

Where the collection of certain details of your Personal Information is not required in order to deliver requested services or products, you may forgo providing such details. However, if you do not provide the Personal Information that we request, we may not be able to deliver the products or services you have requested, which may mean you won’t be able to participate in our trips, purchase products or services, subscribe to our mailing list, enter our contests, etc. If you have paid a deposit and later refuse to provide the necessary Personal Information to FTLO Travel which we or our third-party suppliers and service providers require to deliver the product or service for which the deposit was paid, you may not be entitled to a refund for that product or service. OUR INFORMATION COLLECTION METHODS

We collect information from customers when they create a FTLO profile and during the booking process, the inquiry process where required, our website booking form, our Sales Team, our Support Team, our medical and emergency contact forms, our post-trip evaluations, and our contest entry ballots. This information is provided by you or on your behalf by an authorized individual. We obtain consent by:

  • Written permission via mail, email or fax, or online booking form.

  • Verbal permission.

  • Third-party consent (i.e. from your travel agent, or the authorized individual booking on your behalf to whom you have provided your Personal Information for such purpose).

WHY WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION

FTLO Travel uses collected Personal Information to improve our website and business operations, effectively provide you with requested products and services, introduce you to new FTLO travel services and/or products, and provide information required by our third-party suppliers and services providers. This includes using Personal Information to: register you to receive emails, update your FTLO Travel profile, answer your questions, book a trip, and to receive and implement feedback on our products and services.

Furthermore, the Personal Information allows us to:

  • Ensure the integrity of our products and services through evaluation and improvement.

  • Understand your needs as a customer.

  • Inform you about our products and services, or those of our partners that we believe may be of interest to you.

  • Contact you and/or your designated representative in the event of an emergency.

  • Provide relevant information to insurers and medical staff in the event of an emergency.

  • Provide ongoing service and support, including resolution of any issues with the services or products you request from FTLO Travel.

  • Protect the safety and security of our passengers, products, and services.

  • Maintain internal accounting and business operations, including bookings, contracts, travel services, surveys, payments, and complaints.

  • Comply with laws, regulations, immigration requirements, and all other applicable requirements mandated by the countries in which we operate.

HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION

FTLO Travel may will use your Personal Information to book products and services for you or on your behalf from our third-party suppliers and service providers, or other service providers or merchants for whom serve as independent contractors to FTLO Travel. This collection of Personal Information can be for our internal purposes or on behalf of the third-party suppliers to provide the services or products you have requested. Please be aware that the consent you provide to the collection and use of Personal Information by FTLO Travel, applies equally to the parties whose products and services we sell or book on your behalf. For example, if you purchase a trip through FLTO Travel that includes a train ticket, you will be deemed to have consented to your Personal Information being provided to the train company to enable your ticket to be booked.

FTLO Travel will share your information with third-party suppliers and service providers that perform services on our behalf, including but not limited to walking tour guides, travel companies, hotels, insurance companies, FTLO's crisis management response third-party partner, airlines, promotion or sweepstakes co-sponsors, and credit card agencies.

FTLO Travel also retains the right to provide Personal Information to a government authority where required by law or court order. Covered requirements include, but are not limited to, customs, visas, immigration, and law enforcement.

FTLO Travel and its third-party suppliers and service providers never sell, lease or trade information about you to other parties in the ordinary course of conducting its business. In the event that all of the assets of FTLO Travel were to be sold, your Personal Information would be among the assets sold – though we commit that any subsequent entity would be bound by this Privacy Policy, or one with equal or more protective terms.

HOW YOU DISCLOSE INFORMATION

We may offer features that allow you to share your pictures and information related to your experiences with FTLO Travel on various platforms and social media outlets such as Facebook, Instagram, or others. Your settings on those platforms will control how your information is shared within those platforms, which you may adjust accordingly. Please read the privacy policies of those platforms, as FTLO Travel’s activity and content that you publish on other platforms are not governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the information you choose to share in this way.

FTLO Travel is committed to the security and integrity of your Personal Information. All collected information is stored in secure databases to prevent unauthorized access or misuse. Passwords, encryption devices and firewalls protect these databases. Please note however that no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we take all steps to ensure the safety of your data, we cannot ensure the security of information you transmit to us over the internet. For your own privacy protection, we encourage you to maintain anti-virus and other malware protection software on your computers and other devices.

In addition, access to your personal and private information is limited to authorized employees or independent contractors of FTLO Travel, and any of the third-party suppliers and service providers who require your information to provide the travel or other services you have requested. Our third-party suppliers and service providers include, but are not limited to, train companies, airlines, transportation services, hotels, restaurants, activity providers, and tour guides who deliver the services you purchase through FTLO Travel or that we arrange on your behalf.

 

We keep our employees, independent contractors, and third-party suppliers and service providers informed of our policies and procedures and require strict compliance to ensure your information remains protected. Unauthorized access and/or disclosure of collected FTLO Travel and client information are strictly prohibited.

INFORMATION ACCESS & RETENTION

HOW TO ACCESS & UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION

If you would like to access, update, or remove your Personal Information with FTLO Travel, please contact our Support Team at support@ftlotravel.com. Subject to legal restrictions, you can withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time with reasonable notice. If you refuse or withdraw your consent for any purpose that is required by us to fulfill our product or service contract with you, we will not be able to provide you, or continue to provide you, with the product or service. You may also request a list of all your Personal Information that FTLO Travel has collected and retained. We may charge a fee for handling your request, in an amount prescribed by law. The law does allow us, in certain cases, to reuse your request, which we will notified of.

FTLO Travel will only send you emails or other promotional and/or marketing materials if you have opted in to receive them, or if you have created a profile or purchased a service or product through our website. In addition, you may subscribe to receive such materials on our website. You may unsubscribe from these services by clicking the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of our emails or by contacting our Support Team at support@ftlotravel.com.

OUR INFORMATION RETENTION POLICY

FTLO Travel retains Personal Information (such as passenger travel information, payment information, etc.) for as long as is reasonably required, with consideration to the purpose for which it was collected or a related or ancillary purpose, and to our legal and regulatory obligations. FTLO Travel deletes or otherwise destroys Personal Information after a reasonable period of time.

HOW THIRD-PARTIES USE COOKIES

FTLO Travel utilizes third-party suppliers and service providers, including Google, to display ads across the internet. These third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to the FTLO Travel website. Neither FTLO Travel, or any affiliated third-party supplier or service provider, store any Personal Information in the cookie data. Users may opt out of third-party usage of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES

From time to time it may be necessary for FTLO TRAVEL to amend or make revisions to this Privacy Policy and our other Terms of Service. These amendments may apply to your Personal Information collected under a previous version of this Privacy Policy. FTLO Travel reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. All revisions will be noted and posted on our website.

This Privacy Policy was last revised on December 15th, 2023. We may change or supplement this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes in the way FTLO Travel collects or uses Personal Information will be described in future versions of this Privacy Policy.
